"Mr Vokins in his garden - the father of Ella and Norah and Effie. I don't know when he died, but it was certainly pre WW2.
"Their house in Oxford Street is just up the road a bit from the Methodist Chapel on the other side of the road. The garden was very large, extending right down to the big drop to the Hungerford road."
